78 Physically Processed Agro-Ingredients

The cosmetic industry has always been a lucrative market for herbs and plants extracts. The introduction of the mechanical extraction method is the latest development in this field, which preserves all the precious properties of these ingredients. This article will examine how mechanichal extraction works, its benefits over other methods, and why it is preferable to use in production.

The Mechanism Behind Mechanical Extraction Processes: A machine that presses down on plant material to extract oils from within them is called an expeller press or screw press. These machines are powered by either electricity or hydraulics, which makes them more powerful than their manual counterparts. The only drawback with these machines is that they require a lot of space to work properly because they need room for both the machine itself and the raw material.

Mechanical extraction is considered superior to other extraction techniques because it ensures that no chemicals are put into the mix, thus preserving its original purity. The method also preserves all of the precious properties of these materials, making extracts created using this method more effective than traditional ones.

This process can be used on avariety of plants and herbs, including rosemary, lavender, chamomile, peppermint and thyme.

More Benefits to the Mechanichal Extraction Process: Since this process does not require a solvent to be added into the mix in order for oils to seep out from within plant material that has been piled up together within the machine, the presence of these potentially harmful chemicals is not transferred to the finished product. This makes mechanically extracted oils much healthier than those created using traditional oil extraction processes which require chemical solvents to be added into the mix so that they can dissolve plant material and carry their scent up through its tubes which lead to a condenser.

Why Use Mechanichal Extraction: One of the main reasons why this extraction method is preferable to others is because it has a very high yield rate. In fact, some plants in which oil is traditionally extracted in a solvent-based manner can be mechanically extracted in a significantly higher yield per hectare. In addition, the quality of the finished product is also significantly higher.

In comparison to traditional extraction processes that require oils to be pushed up through tiny tubes with high pressure machines, mechanical extraction uses gravity instead, allowing for a much better quality finished product. Because of how gentle this process is on the oils, they are also not damaged when exposed to light or air, which means that its color and scent is retained for a longer period of time.

In addition, this extraction method is extremely hygienic since it does not come in contact with chemicals used to dissolve plants within the hydraulic fluid, which prevents the process from being contaminated with any chemicals that might have been inadvertenly introduced into the mix.

The mechanically extracted oils are suitable for the cosmetics industry because they contain the right kind of fatty chemicals for these kinds of products, and not oils that might fit better in other markets such as the food or chemical industries. Mechanical extraction oil is an important raw material for the cosmetics industry, particularly in shampoos and hair conditioners.

Care must be taken when selecting the correct type of oil, as they are used for different purposes. For example, coconut is a very effective emulsifier (for de-tangling hair) but is also used as a high foaming agent (for washing). Olive oil on the other hand works well with softening agents without producing foam

The most common oils come from sunflower seed kernels or grape seeds although there are many others including almond, soya bean, avocado etc.

"People who have sensitivities to these products use them anyway because their benefits outweigh their risks," says Dr Darrell Rigel of New York University Medical Center. "As more information is accumulated, there may be less willingness to ignore these sensitivities."

Mechanically extracted Agro ingredients are extremely expensive. Mechanical extraction is both cost and labor intensive, since manual harvesting (which supplies the majority of these products) requires large amounts of manpower. The process also only produces 1/8th the amount of oil as solvent-based systems do. However, because it can be used on a wide variety of plants and herbs, it makes up for all this with its healthier finished oils that are free from solvent residue or other harmful chemicals left over from traditional extraction methods. The bottom line is that this method may not be the cheapest one but provides optimal final products for cosmetic uses."

At Jeanbio we study a lot about herb extracts and although they are most expensive we use them in our cosmetic formulas in combinations of 83 mechanically extracted ingredients. Therefore we can create many great formulas with high quality and efficacy. You will learn about all these extraordinary herbs bown below!
